Digital satellite TV covers the whole of Great Britain, but your ability to receive the digital satellite TV signals may be impaired if a building, tree or other object blocks the line of sight between the minidish and satellite.

To receive digital cable TV you must live in an area where one of the cable digital TV providers has installed a cable network. The area that digital cable TV covers is always growing with around 15 million homes in Great Britain currently with access.

Freeview digital TV provider covers about 75% of homes in Great Britain, although in areas of poor reception you may need an aerial upgrade. To check terrestrial digital TV reception in your area, please use this service.

Coverage for digital broadband Internet TV is limited to small trial areas at present, but there are plans to expand services nationwide in 2005. To receive digital broadband Internet TV you would also need a BT telephone line and live in an area where the local telephone exchange is broadband-enabled.
