When you enter a postcode, this becomes the centre of our search. The system finds property sales in the surrounding area, starting with the nearest.When you enter the name of a town, city or region, the system uses the central postcode for that location to run a search.
Yes. You can refine your search in several ways:Select a particular, date of sale, or a minimum and maximum price range from the drop-down boxes.
You can also change the size of the area to be searched. The minimum distance to be searched is 1 mile from your postcode in every direction. You can increase this, up to a maximum of 30 miles from your postcode.Please note that we shall always only return the nearest 500 properties sold.
Actual property prices covers domestic property in Register of Scotland records for Scotland only. Commercial sales aren't included.The data covers Scottish sales since January 2002.

It isn't possible to have information held by the Registers of Scotland removed from their registers. The service is completely legal and complies with relevant Data Protection policies.
The sums shown indicates the money that changed hands. In some cases this doesn't reflect the market value - for example, when someone buys outright a property that was under joint ownership.
In order to make Scottish property price data available for re-publishing at an affordable rate The Registers of Scotland don't retrospectively update the monthly data they supply to UpMyStreet.

The date of sale is the date the sale was registered on the Land Register by the Registers of Scotland. This can be from a couple of weeks to over a year after the date of sale.
