Building society Abbey wanted to target those in the process of making decisions regarding their homes and properties - in a market where existing home insurers have a huge advantage. UpMyStreet provided that audience - and the opportunity to communicate directly and consistently at the point when users began the process of choosing products.
Using text and logos provided by Abbey, UpMyStreet was quickly able to build an integrated campaign. An ad-block was placed in selected areas of the Property & moving channel, together with a placement to catch browsing users on the UpMyStreet.com overview page. At a later stage, banners and sticky skyscrapers were incorporated into the strategy, ensuring communication with all potential users over a rolling six-week period.
Following the success of the campaign, Abbey have asked for a proposal for further advertising in 2005.
